NACT-PVS is an independent academic research initiative dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary scholarship on criminology, terrorism, political violence, migration movements, and security governance.
The initiative promotes research dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaboration among scholars, practitioners, and policy communities interested in understanding complex security challenges in Africa and beyond.

  • Terrorism and Political Violence - analysis of the causes, dynamics, and evolution of terrorism and political violence within contemporary security environments.

  • Counter-Terrorism Governance - examination of policy responses, institutional capacity, and governance structures shaping counter-terrorism strategies.

  • Security and Development - exploration of the relationship between insecurity, governance systems, and development trajectories in fragile and conflict-affected contexts.

  • Migration and Forced Displacement - research on migration governance, refugee movements, and the intersection of displacement, conflict, and policy responses.
